I just added these three coins to my collection. They came from the same old-time collection as my last world coin lots. The Canada cent appears to have a rim clip and it shows the Blaksley effect where there was low pressure directly opposite the clip. What do you think this large cent might grade? Also, do you think they would note such a small clip on the holder? The Spanish 1-Peseta is an AU coin. IMO it has good eye appeal but the obverse had a previous cleaning. The French coin is apparently pretty common but it was in such nice condition that I had to have it. What do you think this 1849 French 1-Centime might grade? Thanks for letting me share! Very best regards, collect89
89: Like the look of the 1849 cent -- great color. MS64? I admire the design of all three so I think you did well. Rim clip doesn't bother me much -- the coin is otherwise very nice. I agree that the obverse of the Spanish coin looks cleaned. Nice assortment. Thanks for the pictures -- I don't collect world coins other than grabbing a few circulated pieces when I'm overseas but you have to enjoy some of the great designs.
Very nice coins!:thumb: I don't know about NGC, PCGS or ANACS, but I have seen a few graded by CCCS with a designation of a clip as small as this is. And by the pictures I would think it could grade a 64.
Hello Byrd, I will send the Canada cent to a TPG when I have some other world coins to send in. My opinion of the coin is MS63.5RB. I understand from a friend that it may be worth about $400 in 64RB so I dream about getting that grade. IMO It has a shot at 64 so we will see what the experts say. Very best regards, collect89
