    ....for my California visit.

Many will recall my earlier post regarding me inheriting my late father's coins and that 3 dansco albums are missing. The 3 missing are Walking Liberty Halves, Barber Halves, and Barber quarters. All three were better than 90% filled. My Dad filled all his albums through circulation and was proud of that fact. So these albums represent a whole lifetime of collecting--and Walking Liberties were his favorite coin ever minted. His circulated coins mean much, much more to me than any MS 69 coin(s) I could ever purchase to replace these.

Well, he sometimes hid things and TH, I fly out to search my Dad's place. My step mom has given me free reign to tear the house apart (as long as I put it back....). My fear is that one of the nurses for his hospice care stole them, because they haven't been found so far... I'll know by Friday whether they are gone forever....

    I need everyone's positive vibes!!!!

    Good luck.

Parts of my grandfathers silver dollar collection had gone missing and it ended up being the kids raiding and selling. It used to be a couple buckets full and now it is down to one small box which I inherited.

hey good luck in your search. before i got hurt i was a (CNA) certified nurses aide. Taking care of the elderly. I pray that it wasnt the aide that took them!! Maybe they are not missing and you find them when you get there. good luck again BILL

When my mother died, I was cleaning the house out and emptied left over flour containers, corn meal, etc. and guess what I found. Nothing spectacular, but they were all silver. Check the attic access also. Some hide small lock boxes just inside the overhead panel. Few people in California go into the attic unless absolutely necessary!
Actually, it might not be a bad idea to ask the aide if she knew where your dad hid stuff. Many are outstandingly honest and might know, but never think to tell the step-mom.
    Good luck

Good luck on your search. Remember things are always found either in the last place you would expect them or the first place you should have looked!! Good luck!

    I'm so sad.

I searched the place over. All three Danscos are missing. This really sucks.
