well im new to error coins but i found this and i don't know what to call it. are the filled B's common ? Oh and i took this pic with my phone, didn't come out to bad used 2 magnifying glasses.
I actually think they are pretty common for the 1950's. I have several with cuds in the "LIBERTY" portion. Still a cool coin to collect if your into those types of varieties.
Technically it's not a cud, a cud involves the rim Cud on a Coin - What is a Cud on a Coin Your coin has a pretty common error, the filled B is a result of die chips.
Welcome blue_oxen to the forum. Cattle ranchers have one definition for cud. Coin collectors have a different one. Some experts in the error-variety hobby insist that for the blob to be called a cud, the damaged part of the die must include part of the edge of the die.
Here is another one i found today . So because they are not touching the edge i would call these errors die chips instead of cud ?
