eBay's new pix may be easier to see at least to an extent, but you can no longer save them to your computer. I used to live on eBay doing that. I may be interested in; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200366281873&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 , but I do not know what "one small spot on obverse on Lincoln's arm" means. I even wrote the seller, but he says that he can get no closer. Can anyone see what he is talking about or better tell me how to see what he is talking about?
rlm, Your title of this thread is wrong. You need to delete the 2nd and 3rd words, move the 's' from the first word to the last word and toss the apostrophe. Then it will be correct.
zooming the pic with crappy resolution does not help much, but I can definitely see the "spot" he is talking about. Although assuming it has not been tampered with I would not think it would greatly affect the value if it is still the original coin in the case...? Would the mark on his arm knock it down from a MS67? if so then I would probably pass on it...
Is that the "spot"? I would call that a nick not that I am saying either is really wrong. However, JJK78, how are you saving the pic? I cannot do that or at least do it the way I used to do it.
Using you pic, I would guess that thd spot is at the top right corner of the box you drew, but I still cannot tell how good/bad teh coin is.
You could use Firefox with the Nuke Anything Enhanced extension to clear the overlay from on top of the picture. Once you mouse over the picture and select Delete This Item, you would be able to right click the photo again and save it.
I saved by right clicking and then click on Save Picture As - same way I've always saved pics. So I'm confused as to what problem you might be having ? As to the coin - not the best pics but I would say there are 4 hits on the shoulder, what looks like light rub from the point of the shoulder to the collar, 2 or 3 small hits in the hair above the ear, 3 small marks on the forehead, 1 hit in the field a little up from the R, and the worst obv mark is just under the G. On the rev, the O and N have several hits, a small one on the E, another just inside the rim opposite the U, and what looks like roughness in the fields around United States Of America, epsecially the latter. Not your kind of coin Dick - pass.
I would suggest a pass on that as well. There are far to many NGC 67's available that are virtually problem free for the grade. Good luck.
After playing a bit, I find this is bass ackwards. I can save the pic using IE but not firefox. I cannot say I have never seen that before, but rarely.
rlm's I agree the new ebay is screwed up mess and the photo I can't say here but I sure you know what I mean
