There are also lots of easy-to-use programs like Windows Photo Gallery that will adjust the brightness, contrast, shadows, highlights, etc. for you after the fact, to make the details more visible.

I think it's a marvelous purchase!! The folder and certificate by Fred Bertram certainly add interest.

But you could send the photos after you take them to your laptop or desktop, and then use the Windows Photo Gallery tools on them.

Where I live we only have the cell as no Internet is available in my area. We live too close to the creek in the country. Only 3 houses on my road in a 2 mile stretch. It's nice but like everything, there are advantages and disadvantages.

    Hi All,

I believe Fred Bertram was the editor of the "Journal of Israel Numismatics" in the 1960s and 1970s.

Doable but I'm not about to put out a hundred a month for it.

Sorry to resurrect a 3-week-old thread, but it seemed more appropriate to post this here than to begin a new thread.

First, the front of the outer envelope:

Second, the back of the outer envelope:

    Now the inner card:

And last but not least... a close-up of the coin AND the signature!

Unfortunately, the mite is glued down, so the reverse is not able to be seen without ripping the coin out. But from the obverse alone I can tell it's authentic. And besides, removing it would lessen the significance. (Yes, I realize anyone could rip it off and replace it. But there is no indication that such an event has occurred on this card.)

Even with a loupe I cannot tell if Meshorer's signature was part of the card's print press process or not. But either way... methinks 'tis a grand acquisition! (I'll never tell how much I paid for it, but to me it was worth every penny!)
