Is there any good online world coin dealers? Or is eBay the place to go?

eBay is a casino when it comes to buying coins, be they ancient , world or US.

For world coins, I'm pretty old school. You might try Karl Stephens. I think he is still active. He has an online website where he posts his price lists.

MA Shops is another good location, as is Vcoins. MA Shops is based in Frankfurt, so don't expect any bargains when it comes to German coins.

CNG also sells and auctions some world coins - it all depends on what you are looking for.

Karl Stephens is still active. If you go on his website you can request to be on his email list. This will give you the first shot at his new list. The good stuff goes pretty quickly.

I purchase most of my better stuff off of either ma-shops or coin shows.

I'm not opposed to eBay. There's alot of stuff. There's a couple sellers with really nice stuff....but they're over sea with 15 & 19 shipping.

My LCS has alot of inventory but you have to ask for each pc..then they bring a country box out... They're not extremely over priced but I had 5 pcs I wanted to look at Saturday...they had 3. Not bad I guess. Everything they have is nice...just there's stuff they don't have.

Slight clarification...MA-Shops European office is in Bocholt, Germany. They also have a US office in Florida that supports US clients and dealers. Some US dealers also offer German coins (along with US, ancients, world, etc.)

    Thank you for the clarification.

Some of the dealers that I have patronized through MA Shops are in and around Frankfurt, so I erroneously assumed MA Shops is based there.
