I inherited a gold coin collection years ago and am now finally trying to figure out the values. I do have a coin guide book but some of the gold coins are foreign and I can not find them in the book. Here are the ones I cannot find: French 20 Franc 1913, seems perfect. 1980 Krugerrand, 1 oz. Mint. 1987 Panda, 1915 100 Krona, mint. 1947 Mexican 50 peso, mint. Any help on these would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy Andy - Welcome to the Forum !!

Those coins, while collectible, rarely carry much value over 10-15% above the spot price of gold. They are largely thought of as bullion coins. And sometimes, they can be purchased for very close to spot.

There's a small premium on every coin that you have. You could get probably around $1000 for both the Krugerrand and Panda. The 50 pesos is worth between $1200-$1250, the 20 francs can fetch up to $200,and your 100 Austrian Korona coin is worth about $1000 bucks!

Unless you try to sell them. No dealer will offer those prices, they will offer 10-15% under spot.

Yeah. I forgot to mention that you'd get that much if you sell them yourself. Thanks for mentioning that!

Thanks a lot. I will post some more questions as I wade through the other coins.
