    Thats funny you should say that date....my dad got a bag of wheat cents one tieme (I think it had 5000+) any way...almost every one was 1957-D!!!!!!....some were not but most of what we got to look at were all 57-D's...we gave up after awhile and put them back for another day!

    1878 Morgan dollar.

    I do know of another collector who specializes in a single coin - the 1883/2 Shield nickel. He owns quite a few ;) But he does at least collect other coins as well.

    Being a non-conformist at heart, I like the idea of collecting a single coin. I'm not about to abandon what I'm doing, but when I'm ready to start something new I'm going to give this a lot of thought. It is so unusual, yet so logical, that it seems like a fantastic idea. I'm not sure why it isn't more common.
