    Hi folks,

I inherited a coin collection and am trying to get some information as to value. There are several one dollar coins from 1884-1891, quarters from 1826-1858, 1893 columbian exposition half dollar, and many others.

My question is simply this ... are there any online resources available where I can get a handle on the value of these coins (I would rather do the research myself rather than rely on a dealer, as I have absolutely no feel for their value) ?

    Thanks very much,

First, you will need to be able to properly grade them but as to value, you can buy a RedBook for around $10 and that will help and you can check completed listings on Ebay to get a feel for what they will bring, although generally speaking, prices are a little low on Ebay. ;)

Maybe someone will post a link to a site that provides info on grading. :thumb:

    Ribbit :)

    Ps: Welcome to CoinTalk! :hail:

I never give out the PCGS price list, since only PCGS slabbed coins qualify for their prices, if even that, but Numismedia works:

First Welcome to the forum! I agree with Toad, I use NumisMedia prices, but it's important to have an accurate grade before you price it. If it's possible post some pics of the coins.

We would love to see photos of your Morgan dollars and the Quarters.
If you can get close to the right grade, here is the Heritage price guide I like to use. You have to sign up to use it, but I like it.
