Can people please tell me if you would send this in to be graded/authenticated as a 1909 VDB Matte Proof? 2 by Kevin Farley posted Feb 22, 2021 at 10:31 AM 4 by Kevin Farley posted Feb 22, 2021 at 10:31 AM 5 by Kevin Farley posted Feb 22, 2021 at 10:31 AM 6 by Kevin Farley posted Feb 22, 2021 at 10:31 AM 1 by Kevin Farley posted Feb 22, 2021 at 10:31 AM
You seem to be having trouble posting images. I'm slowly getting used to the new method. The old way was a heck of a lot easier. Someone should be along to help you.
A proof will have a sharp right angle edge rather than a business strike that has a slightly rounded edge. This is a 1909 Proof.
It isn't a proof. The proof VDB has a centered dot between the D and B. Yours is closer to the D. It's MS not PR Proof Centered Dot MS Uncentered Dot
As an aside about the dots. MS VDB's can have both centered dots and those closer to the D. I just didn't want you to think that a centered dot automatically means the coin is a proof. It is one way to eliminate MS from Proof, because Proofs contain only the centered dot.
