At least it hasn't floundered like the "Thousand Year Reich" which last like what, 12 years tops?

Funny you should mention this idea...lol.

In Argentina, there is a coin shortage right now. Many businesses, instead of giving out "precious" change, give out candies instead.

    For everyone:

IMHO, here's what our circulating coins should be:

5c - Borrow Canada's nickel plated steel composition.
    10c - leave unchanged
    25c - leave unchanged
    50c - eliminated
    $1 - present composition
$2 - bimetallic with a brass center and cupro-nickel outer ring. It should be SMALLER than the $1. Not larger like Canada's Toonie.

Mint sets should have 1c (95% copper) all way up to $2 coin, including 50c.
No more stinkin Zincolns. I am getting sick of getting those ratty looking things in change.

The mint will rescue the cent by selling advertising space on the reverse. Heck, when inflation kick's in, they can sell space on the backs of one dollar bills to raise revenue. It will then be common to look at the back of a one dollar bill and see a coupon that reads, "Good for one dollar off on a McDonald's Value Meal.":D
