Sal it is! It is die deterioration doubling. Look at how close the 'L' is to the rim. I have never seen a word where some of the letters are true doubled and others in the word aren't. IMO, Jim
It's not doubling. It's damaged. You can see the damage in other letters in the same place on both sides of the W.
They also line up with the flattened bottom of the D in God. Maybe pinched way back when in a candy or gum machine.
