I put a low bid on these these 4 Tetradrachm and was surprised when I won them. They aren't in the best shape but I still love these chunky little coins. They were sold as Aurelian and Maximianus but honestly, I can't tell for sure. Can some one take a look and let me know what you think? Thanks!
Nice pick-up. I have a Maximian Herculis: 20mm, 8.0 grams Obverse: AK M OVA MAEIMIANOC CEB Laureate, draped bust right Reverse: Eagle standing left, head right with wreath in its beak; star in left field, L-Delta Date: Year 4 = A.D. 289-290 Reference: Milne 4921, Emmet 4108 I hope you like it and feel free to post any Alexandrian tets!
I think the first one, with the most green, is Numerian (A K M A NOVMEPIANOC CEB). Not sure about the others. I’d guess the bigger one as Claudius II looking at the portrait.
