    Thanks @Ricardo123, I thought I had seen something similar recently but I couldn’t remember if I posted or who did.

    In either case I like this lady as she travels and figure someone else here probably will too.

    I've been to the Colussus of Memnon but didn't hear anything. They are supposed to "sing", at least according to Strabo and Pliny.

    I backpacked through Egypt as a young man. Spend a month there. Took a felucca on the Nile from Aswan to Luxor. It was supposed to take only a few days, but the doldrums meant it took a week. Remarkable memories. I took this photo in 1989. Didn’t hear a thing. I guess the Colossi kept their secrets.

    I've read that the temple (whose entrance the statues flank) was even larger than Karnak temple at the time. Of course, Karnak was embellished and enlargened by the Ptolemies.
