    Howdy peeps, :)

I don't usually buy gold but this was a good deal so I bought it for investment purposes. ;)

Uh oh! You're gonna make T$ post his quarter eagle again... LOL!

Nice pickup. Photos need some improving to really see the coin. You got lots of glare and reflections off the holder unfortunately.

Nice coin! :thumb: I think AU53 just might about hit it, but PCGS or NGC might give it a high XF since I see quite a bit of wear.

    Still, a nice coin! ;)

Quarter Eagles of this date are 18mm in diameter. (0.7086" of an inch)

    ICG holders measure: 0.325" x 2.325" x 3.25"

To me, that coin looks hazy, like putty. Hopefully it's just the photo.

Just trying to make you feel bad.. LOL :D
I am currently working on a deal to sell both of them, to get a 1909 MS62, I'm getting a great deal on it ;)
Nice coin toad, good luck on making some money on it in a few years. :)

I agree, but doubt that it's just the images.

Well we will have to wait for toad to post better pictures, cause I thought it looked hazy also.

Hey Toad - send it to me I will get some better pictures!!! Nice coin and knowing you, you will make a "mint" on it. :)

LOL! I thought you might find this thread T$ and appreciate the joking around. I NEVER tire of seeing your quarter eagles. I know you will be sad to see them go, but will have something super awesome to share in their place. I also have a recent quarter eagle on its way to me that I'll eventually share. I would love to get your thoughts about it once the time comes. :eek:hya:

Ahhh I will be sad to see my babies go, but this 1909 MS62 is calling me.. LOL
I'd love to give you my opinion once I see pics of yours! :)

IMHO, it is always good move to buy pre-1933 US gold in a holder from one of the 4 major grading services...PCGS, NGC, ANACS or ICG. Too much counterfeit gold out there nowadays. Let the grading services do the authentication work for you. ;)

    Thumbs up to you, Toad.

T$, I wouldn't let those babys go. Any way you can hang on to them and stiil get that gold piece you want? I'm a firm believer in hanging on to your "roots". Those two pieces mean something to you my friend and I truely think you will regret parting with them. Just something to chew upon.....:smile
