I was browsing the listing for the 2009 silver proof sets and comparing it to the 2009 proof sets listing and was curious as to this:

The listing for the Silver Proof Sets states that the Lincoln Cents are of the 1909 composition, but the listing for the Clad Proof Sets does not.

There's not going to be 2 different compositions in proof too, is there? I haven't heard any word of this, but the differing listing made me curious.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Mike, The COA in the 09 clad proof sets lists the cents as having a composition of 95% copper like the 1909 cent. I am not sure why the mint dosn't have that listed on the discription of the set. I think they did befor they came out.
    Hope this helps.

thanks all for the answers. I thought so, but once I read the Mint's description, I was suddenly confused. (not that difficult to do ;) )

It was actually quite lovely green, ty for asking.

Mike you are definately not alone. Trying to understand almost everything the mint does can be mind boggling.

Yes, before the sets came out and while they were only listed on the subscription page all three sets, proof, silver, proof, and mint set listed the composition of the cents as 95% copper.
