Nearing the 280 note mark for small size notes. All notes with the exception of 4 are CHCU60 and above. RB
280 FRNs already, wow your definitely putting a dent in your goal. How many total will it take to complete including Stars ?
Connor...my apoligies..that count is incorrect. I did include the 4th and 5th Issues of the fractionals and about a dozen Obsoletes and 30 Large size...sorry!! I am at about 200-210 notes on the Small Size. I am not sure if I will ever finish or not...the last $1000 NY note I bought in PMG 64 was almost 4 x face! I need 2 more of those and 2 more $500's and these alone will be in the area of 12-13K for all of them...maybe a little more since the 1928's are more expensive to get and harder to find! I doubt I will ever find the stars on just these 4 notes and if I did they would cost a small fortune! Unless someone out there would like to donate to the RickieB Collection...LOL :secret: Somehow... I do not think I will get many takers on that request!! RickieB
The $500s & the $1000 s will= 20K+ way, way, way out of my range ! But just because you may leave them out it is still a collection anybody would love to be able to acquire in a lifetime !
FRN New York Thanks, actually all my other notes are raw so it's about time I started to acquire graded notes so I know what I have.
All mine are raw, and my collection is very small compared to a lot of people here. However, I am building it....I will be getting a 1934 $20 on Monday, if all works well, to have a mini type set for 20's as I do with 5's. I really want a funny back next...
Like to see the $20 when you get try to post it.I like the Funny Back also. Many non-collectors I show mine to think it's counterfeit.Check my album it in their somewhere. Try to buy one soon prices are climbing.
Nice one Connor.... I did'nt do a thing! :smile Love those NY notes!! Burke/Glass none the less!! RickieB
Connor , cool $50 , Love Miss Liberty on the reverse . One question I thought all notes this old were either silver or Gold certificates , goes to show what I know about notes , one thing I know is I love em . rzage
I can't believe it , when reading your post I thought it said Broke Glass , I thoght it was a way to say the note was cool talk about feeling stupid . rzage:whistle:
In 1923, there were 6 forms of legal currency circulating ... FRN, FRBN, Legal Tender, National Bank Notes, Silver Certificates, and Gold Certificates. Since fractinals were long taken out of circulation, even though they are still legal tender to this day .. i dont count them as circulating. Same with treasury notes and a small handfull of other types of currency in our nations past.
Broke Glass...I love that rzage..thanks for a new way to look at these notes!! You are just too funny!! We welcome you to Paper Money my friend....I am sure if you had any questions that any of us here would be happy to help you. RickieB
