The FE Cent looks like it has a very nice strike! That St Gaudens looks 65-ish? (I'd like to see the reverse though) Great coins!
Wow, Stella. Where did you get them? Great pickups. I just LOVE that flying eagle cent!!!! and that 14D aint to shabby either!!!!
Guessing: Flying Eagle - MS62 (because of the off-center strike) Double Eagle - MS63 1914D - VF-35 1928 Quarter Eagle - MS62 (scratch on front) again I am new at this and wanted to get my post up before the real experts sounded off
why is it that when i get a gem coin ishow it to you guys and leadfoot and 900fine gotta act like that. ive done nothing wrong... why do you treat a fellow collector like this
terrible, my grandfather died this past few months, i just turned 30. And someone slammed into my car last night. other than that i picjed up some gems. what do you think of them. Also I post these premo coins for people wgo dont get to see them everyday, not to me critisized. go respond if you have nothing to say, i just wanted your opionions, leadfoot why dont you giv eme you opionion before i send them off to PCGS... you too 900fine, you could be a friend who helps but you give me a hard time everytime i put something up....
It has to do with a post or two or three or . . . . from a while back. The old saying about if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything, should be abided by here but sometimes a sly comment is hard to hold back. I personally don't have a problem with Stella but that's me. :goofer: Ribbit
I'm sorry to hear that, but happy birthday! :hail: I'd go 66 on the FE, 65 on the saint gaudens, f15 on the 14d, and the 65 for the quarter eagle.
I think you overgraded the FE and Quarter Eagle. The FE Cent, has scratches all under the eagle, just look more closely, there is no way that would grade 65 And the quarter eagle pictures are not accurate, they make it looked polished, and I can see marks all over that coin, and if better pictures are provided that coin may very well be cleaned. I do not see wear on the coin, so it might grade at a MS Details grade if sent in to ANACS, but from those pics it would come back genuine at PCGS. I agree with you on the gaudens, and it might possibly grade higher.
I really ment nothing by my post, other than it sounded oddly similar to one before. I'll post my grade guesses when I get home tonight -- on my laptop now, and can't really make out the coins well enough. Again, no hard feelings....Mike
