Hi, I got this nickel from a vending machine, and noticed that it has 2 head sides (rather than a heads and a tails). I checked it very carefully; it's not a special printing or anything. One side has Jefferson, "In God We Trust", "Liberty", and the date 1992. The other side, off-set by a little more than 90 degrees, has Jefferson, "In God We Trust", "Liberty", and the date 1995. Yes, two different dates. I haven't taken a picture of it, but the description above pretty much covers it. I've never seen a coin like this, and therefore I have no idea if it is worth anything or not. Any ideas? Thanks! -Rog
magicians trick coin. Look very closely at the rim to see where one coins was machined out and the other inserted.
Welcome Rog!, Here is a double headed one with envelope it came in from Littleton Coin Co. http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t48301/ Jim
I was at first doubtful, but it looks like that could be right. The edge is solid, but one side has a more distinctive rim, where it looks like one might have been inserted into another. That's a shame; I guess it's worth about, oh, 5 cents then. -Rog
If it is that well made, It is worth $5 - $10. Get the 10 posts and put it on the open section to sell. Jim
