    Howdy peeps, :)

I cherry picked a 1882-O Morgan on Ebay with what appeared to be a O/S mint mark but now I've been trying to figure out if it is a O/S and/or if it is a known VAM or not? :goofer:

One of the things I first noticed about this are the bubbles on the eagle, which, for the most part, would out it as a counterfeit but some of the 82's were made from rusted dies and the bubbles are evidence of this being struck from rusted dies and thus, it is authentic. ;)

If anyone wants to takes a stab at figuring out the VAM, go fer it! :eek:hya: But note the die cracks on both sides. :kewl:

I would say the Vam 4, the S looks recessed, not broken like in Vam 5. Nice find!

Now it's easier to see the details and I agree that it's a VAM-4 but I'm surprised they don't discuss the die chips/cracks on VamWorld. :goofer:
