A well worn 1940 D Quarter. However, it filled the very last hole of a now complete pre-65 Washington quarter set:
Finally got my $3 gold piece in hand . It’s the most common branch mint $3 gold and low grade but an honest $3 gold piece is a cool coin
I received an older small head $100 today at the bank (posted in the paper money forum)and since it was worn and tired I retired it to my LCS in exchange for these. The Seated Liberty was $50 and the other quarters came to just under $50 combined.
Got these two Wide Rim SBAs yesterday: A friend has a 99-D with my name on it which will complete the SBA set for me.
This one is headed for grading as soon as I gather together another order. Very bright and white in hand. @Randy Abercrombie
Nice I like large old silver coins don't have any that old though-around late-latter medieval times i probably couldn't even afford it by a long shot.
The 1696 Crown is cheaper than you may think. There are plenty of very old coins that aren't that expensive.
Was out shopping with wife, and convinced her to stop at coin shop and grabbed this. I think the dealer was a little generous with his VF grade ( I'm seeing as a vg-08). Anyway, I didn't have any seated liberties so I bought it for $40 and probably over paid by $10, but now I have one, and had something to show for hours of shopping. Not sure why my Imgur links aren't working???
