Since you asked for advice. 1: When uploading can you use the 'full image' button. It helps 2: Your pictures are decent, but they should be fully cropped and straight on, not at an angle 3: When you have areas of interest it is helpful to have good close ups of each area AND tell us what you see so we aren't left guessing what you are asking us to look at. For example: "I think there is a split serif on the I and T's of IN GOD WE TRUST
Welcome to Coin Talk. I don't see any doubling based on the photos you provided. Here's a few sites you can check for Doubled Dies. 1) https://doubleddie.com/ 2) http://www.varietyvista.com/ On doubleddie.com you can also look for different kinds of doubling. Just click on "Worthless Doubling" There's more sites but these two will get you started if you want to learn.
Nobody told me I have just done alot of Research and i got to get me a new cherrypickers guide but if its not a ddo it sure is close i cant find anything on that year at vista but there still trying to get all the various varieties done......
I know it double struck look in Roosevelt head there is on struck inside the other one.....I thinl ddo ddr but i might be wrong
Bradford, where did you do that research? The Cherrypicker's guide? Wikipedia? YouTube? Here's a suggestion for you if you ever think you may need a little more education on doubled dies, https://www.doubleddie.com/58222.html. I'll bet you a shiny new dime, you absorb this, it's all you're going to need.
If you think it's a double die, check variety Vista for a match. It has to be exact. Also, with a damaged coin, the doubling is virtually worthless to any collector even if it is a true double die which your coin is not. Many people get confused with double die, die deterioration doubling, and machine doubling. Double die is the only one worth anything. Honestly, I see none of the above on your coin, and what you do see is probably some sort of damage. One thing to help is to get a magnifying lens to see details better. And also, check @eddiespin 's site he posted as it has some good info on it about what's doubling and what's not. It may take a while to be able to know what is what, but eventually, If you work at it, you'll be able to tell.
It is not a doubled die variety. The links that @thomas mozzillo gave you are a good start to check out how to identify doubling.
Can you post a closeup of the area where you think you see the doubling? Also, when posting photos, it's better if you take the shot directly over the coin and not at an angle.
