    Hi guys,

I have this 2015 D Roosevelt Dime and would like to find out what's happening with the rim of this dime on the obverse? Why is there copper on some parts of the obverse rim? Is this considered a collar clash?

To me.. High Pressure strike caused a bit of finning. That when the rim rises up a bit.
    Common issue.

The blank planchet is held by what is considered the 3rd die called the collar.. It's what creates the reeding on the edge.
Tons of pressure are needed to strike both sides in order for the image to appear on the Planchet. If the pressure is raised a bit then the excess pressure causes the collar to force the metal up a bit.
