Last summer I worked for the local Department of Public Works. That is something I NEVER want to do again. (Its not the working that bothered me, it was the not working) This summer, I skipped up a couple of rungs on the ladder. For the past several weeks, I've been in Lancaster, PA on an internship with the Classical Numismatics Group, one of the largest US ancient coin auction firms. Most of what I've done has consisted of cataloging, attributing coins and entering them into the database. I've done a lot with the eauctions too. Every day it seems like I'm pressing the boundaries of my knowledge another step farther. I've learned to work with Phoenician-Greek, Judaean, Baktrian, Parthian, Persic, Sasanian, Indo-Parthian, and Indo-Skythian coins. I've even started to practice reading the legends coins of the Western Kshatrapas. I expect I'll stumble into India soon.

That should be a GREAT learning opportunity that will serve you well in the hobby for many years to come.
