    I belive it to be made of copper and to orginate in Europe but it could be a game token for all I know

    Close - it's bronze.
    Dead on. It's a 2 heller of the pre-WW I Austro-Hungarian Empire, KM#2801 for Austria in the Standard Catalog of World Coins. There were 74,234,000 minted , listed in the SCWC at 15¢-$2 depending on condition.

    It's very difficult to grade from pictures, especially dark copper, but I'd estimate yours at Fine, which is the lowest grade priced in the catalog.

    so glad i found this post

    I found a coin just like the one in your picture and had no clue what it was, because there was no country of origin just the date and the 2. i'm glad i found this so i know where it came from.
