Here's a couple of examples from my half cent collection. The Braided Hair (Coronet) set is complete in business strikes. In the Classic Head set I have 8 out of 16 business strikes.
Nice coins, can't wait to see more. Is the braided hair half cent weakly struck? T and Y in liberty are very faint. Is this typical for this series?
I'll have to look at it again with regard to strike. It could just be my image. You'll note that the surfaces are VERY flat with respect to reflectivity. That may have something to do with it. As for typical strike, I'll have to get out the book and see what it says.
Well I can see if the faint "Y" is due to the image, but it almost looks like there is no "T" there
Keep posting -- I like the coins and the photos. Early copper is hard to grade as far as I can tell (don't collect it). If I were to guess which of the two is MS (assuming one is), I would have guessed the 1825. Another example of how an AU58 can be a nicer coin than a MS61 or 62.
Yes, very nice coins Kanga. I see your taste in coins runs similar to mine. Nothing like the early issues.
