GTG | NEWP Toned 1826 Bust Half

Hi everyone,

So I bought this coin online as an impulse purchase a week ago (I got a very good deal on it IMO). Was supposed to arrive Friday but USPS decided to give it a round trip around the US so it will show up tomorrow hopefully.

I would post it tomorrow but I'm just really really really anxious and excited for it to come in! So I'm gonna post it as a GTG tonight before it comes in the mail. This bust half will be the center of my collection for now and might be one of the prettiest coins I could ever afford in this price range.

So enough of the rambling. Here she is; if you've seen this coin before and know the grade please refrain from guessing! Variety is O-116a.

Nice colors. Looks like a decent AU53. It has the details, but not the luster of a 55.

I‘m in the AU58 camp, really nice.

 

Really nice looking coin. I'll guess AU 58. Looks like there's very slight wear but it wouldn't surprise me if it got a MS grade.

Very nice strike I have no problem calling this one a AU 58. It could be uncirculated but, I'd have to see it in hand to make that determination. If uncirculated then I think it would grade between MS 63 & MS 65. Very nice hair detail.

I think 55 but it probably slabbed at 58. Nice coin.
