"Clinker" sounds like you're saying something bad about him.

 

I think we should nominate Ruben for the clinker award. He currently has both the 1st place and 2nd place TOTW with 31 total nominations. Nobody has ever taken 1st & 2nd place in a single week to my knowledge. Way to go Ruben.:hail:

 

unfortunately, the TOTW is more of a popularity contest than it is a great thread award. I know that it is supposed to be a great thread award, but it just never seems to shake out that way.

It's kind of like electing a president. No matter what, it's a popularity contest. You wish it would be a best man win contest, but that's just not how it works.

 

It is what we make of it. If everyone agrees that it is a popularity contest, then we should stop doing that. Personally, I only remember one mickey mouse thread that became a popularity contest and won TOTW. No offense spock.
