I came into possession of a number of world coins today. Among them are several that say Indo-China Francaise on one side and Republique Francaise on the other. There is a 1923, 1935, 1937, 1938 1939, and 1944. Then there seven Vietnamese coins. Two of them are dated 1946 and have Ho Chi Minh on them. One I can't read the date on - it's pretty well worn. It has a star on one side and it says 5 HAO. The other four are dated 1964. They have some kind of plant on one side - maybe a sheaf of wheat? On the other side they say Viet-Nam Cong-Hoa, 10 Dong. Do any of these coins have any value? I'm assuming they were brought home from the Vietnam war but I'm not sure. Also, how do I safely clean coins?
Howdy marligan - Welcome to the Forum !! Of those I can identify based on your description none of them have any value more than a few dollars. As for cleaning them - there is no safe way.
