Since Ceylon had become Sri Lanka by 1994, I'm going to assume that the 1944 date in the body of your thread is correct, and the 1994 date in the title is a typo. The nickle-brass 10¢ coin (KM#118) with a scallped edge, is quite common, with 30.5-million having been minted. Ceylon was a British colony at that time, explaining the portrait of King George VI on the obverse. That was the last year that Ceylonese coins included "Emperor of India" in his title. Krause values it between 25¢ and $3, depending on condition.
