Reverse Doubling on 1981 Penny I found my first Reverse Doubling today and was wondering if it indeed Double Die. Here's some pictures.
Canadian Penny found in a roll today I also found a Canadian Penny in excellent condition and on the back is a bird flying and the dates are 1867-1967 across the bottom... I guess a Centennial Penny. Is it worth much?
No, not unless it's a real high grade. Prospector, go here for your Lincoln doubled dies and varieties: www.coppercoins.com/. Click their search engine and type in a date and mint mark. You can look up pictures of the known doubled dies and varieties, and it's intuitive and simple to use. It's a great place to start if you're needing to see for yourself what some of these things look like.
#1) It is doubleD die. #2: The second picture is strike/machine doubling. I don't see anything in the first group.
