"1797 GEORGE WASHINGTON COLONIAL COIN XXFINE"

    Ya gotta be kidding!

This is getting really silly, currently at $87.39 for this rare piece.
When did gas station, or what ever, tokens befome rare? and worth this kinda money.

[Nope: I am not going to correct them. If people want to waste their money, that is their choice. There are currently 11 bids on this thingy. Whatever it is. But Colonial? By definition, it can't be colonial, since the US already existed.]

Note: Not listed in any reference that I could find, so who knows, one of a kind?
    Ultra rare?
    Ultra stupid?

Or perhaps I am missing out on the deal of a lifetime. If so, and you want it, go for it. Have fun.

The GW token is the famous double-headed token that was post dated and isn't that old. :goofer:

The 1800 DBD is an obvious fake. I messaged the seller and informed them it's a fake but as to the GW token, if peeps want to pay that much for it, then that's their problem! If they're that stupid, they don't deserve to have money!!!! :goof:

    Ribbit :)

I like his India Gold Fanam that he is listing as a colonial New York Gold 1/2$. And of course the half dozen or so Dutch East Indies Duits that were made for use in Indonesia being listed as colonial New York pieces. I can't fault him too much for those though since EVERYBODY lists those Indonesian pieces as being colonial coins from Dutch New York. (They confuse Dutch EAST Indies, with Dutch WEST Indies. New York was part of the Dutch West Indies.
