Here's another coin that Todd just photographed for me. It's a nice off center Indian cent with pretty lustrous brown toning. I mentioned in another thread how pretty solid brown coins can be, and this is a good example - unfortunately, it has a bit of gunk by the O in One on the reverse - but I really like that silver blue toning. What do you think?

I thought about it a lot but, no, at the moment this one isn't in my personal collection because I already have an amazingly toned 1905 and I only need one. But it's so pretty that I'm still considering keeping it....
I like the second one best BUT.... Me likey the first one too... Maybe start an error set? It would be challenging but fun
Actually, I already have several errors and varieties in my set (photos of part of my set are posted on my website at the bottom of the Photo Gallery page under "Show and Tell" http://thepennylady.com/coinphotogallery.html). But I usually keep only one coin per year (unless there are different varieties in that year like the 1873), but I can make an exception, and you've got me thinking again about keeping this coin too!
Honestly and sincerely, I'm not trying to push my sales on this site (other than through my banner ad ). I've been posting these because I just got back a nice group of photos Todd took of my personal coins and some that are for sale. Mostly, I've been posting my personal coins but I've posted a few of the others just because they are so pretty and unique. I have been really enjoying being able to "show off" my coins due to Todd's photography skills. Before he came along, I had no good photos of any of my coins. Actually, I have quite a few more of my personal coins that are raw, and I've been debating whether to get them photographed and slabbed. I never used to like slabbed coins for my personal set, but once I got a few, now I prefer to have one or the other, so I'm leaning towards having my entire set in slabs. And I've been holding off photographing the rest of my set until I decide which ones I'm keeping. Any way, really, the pretty coins I post are just to share and sincerely not trying to sneak them in for sales purposes. I am simply enjoying sharing them with others who appreciate their beauty (and the kudos are certainly appreciated too!).
Oh I am not accusing you of trying to sneak in some sales. I was just wishing you luck on your future sales, I am sorry if you misinterpreted my comment, you have spoken in private before, and I consider you one of my friends, I would never accuse you of wrong doing, and I sincerely wish you the best with your sales and personal collection (Which is amazing By the way)
Very cool coin! Honestly, that's the first off-center Indian I've seen. I'd keep the second one too....it's amazing.
Very nice coin! I don't really care for the toning as IMHO it makes the coin look dirty, but the error makes the coin a winner no matter! Speedy
Thanks, I try to be sensitive about posting the coins that I have for sale so as not to break the rules here, and sometimes there is a fine line I have to walk. And thanks for the good wishes - they are always appreciated.
That off center strike is really eye-catching, but appearance-wise I think I prefer the 'normal' coin. It is great to see the superb photos of these top-quality coins, please keep on posting them!

Very interesting off center error. I always find them facinating. Overall I think I prefer the MS66 in your collection though. Beautiful surfaces, it's a keeper all right. :smile
