NO! Did find another $500.00 for $600.00 in better condition than the first one. Also, have gotten many UNC $10.00 star notes back then twice in a month. But different series. About 50/70 each time for face.
Gam3B....here's a nice bill, I thought about bidding but it was probably 2x what I paid for an EF45: https://currency.ha.com/itm/small-s...ge-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116 There are some good bills that show up on HA, less so on GC. You can use those prices to see if anything competitive shows up on Ebay. If you can get a really nice bill on Ebay for within 10% of FMV, that's not bad.
From United States Paper Money The "Gold" Certificated were all to be withdrawn from circulation as well as gold coins. Many circulated until about December 28, 1933. Then the president ordered to deliver all in on 17 Jan 1934, but later on 24 Apr 1964, the restrictions were removed. Many before that time as collectors could keep them as collectibles. I have a few that I have acquired. Many of the gold and certificts were also held overseas and came/acquired after this.
And, of course, there are always these, printed by the BEP from original plates... You can usually pick them up for under $15 each. http://www.souvenircards.org/gallery/B/pics/B-71.jpg http://www.souvenircards.org/gallery/B/pics/B-108.jpg http://www.souvenircards.org/gallery/B/pics/B-114.jpg Not sure why the images aren't dropping in.
