RSVP Regrets If you check the MSNS website, you will see that we put Felix Schlag's memorial near the top of the Articles Archive. Send a couple of pictures with the people identified and a paragraph about your visit and I will add that to the top of the article as a "prequel" or introduction. Also, remember that the MSNS MichMatist pays 10 cents per word up to $100 for feature articles. Anyone who writes for this medium can write for print. Most of the pictures now run in color. I put this on my calendar back in June, but I will be working that day.
Have fun guys I'm not going to be able to make it. My social secretary booked me for the day with our grandson. She just assumed I'd be available. Here's my excuse....1st BDay a month ago
I started him with a Proof set for last Christmas, and someday he'll probably end up with a set of US cents. (1793-Whenever)
My Monday the 20th meeting was changed to a " gotomeeting.com" thing and a phone conferance. Technology these days. I saved $350 in airfare tho, I'll take it, lol. I'll miss you guys and have a great time !!! We need pics and an article in the MIchmatist !!
The problem with meetings like this is around this area, of Illinois, there are too many coin shows, gun shows, knife shows, camera shows, taste of Chicago and now taste of almost every suburb going one. Venitian Night, parties and just stuff to do so much that traveling takes up to much time or I'd be there.
you were missed Just Carl not as many folks showed up as i would have thought. Still a nice meeting! Myself, Noost, JimM, jessash1976 and a nice fella from the CU forum showed up. There was also a nice gentleman from the city who ran a coinshop that attended as well. left to right... Jim, the local coin shop fellow, Noost, Jess, in the back the CU fellow, a frined of Jess's and myself. We visited a local 'museum' that had some artifcats from the design compitition that Felix won. As well as a few images. Was quite a nice place! We then headed over to the grave site. Very nice memorial that the MSNS put in! Chated about life, liberty, the persuit of happiness, coins, Cointalk! ect. Was a great time! We MUST do this again come novemeber for the coin show! Of course... anyone and everyone else is also invited. No need to be asked - please - you aks us when and where, and we will be happy to have anyone who wishes to come, join us!
