Alexander the Great III with Helmet on Reverse

    Alexander the Great III, but I can't find another sample like this one with a Helmet on the Reverse. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Is it me, or is there what looks to be a seam running around the edge of the coin? That coupled with the bubbly look on the surfaces make me think this isn't legit.
    That being said, I know next to nothing about Alexendar II Tets.
    Some others who know much more will be along shortly, I'm sure.

    I think you're right. I shouldn't be able to scratch the surface off either, right? To good to be true. Found it inside a purse i purchased at a garage sale. Thank you so much for responding, I really do appreciate it.

    It's cast in a lead alloy. I've seen similar before. Fake, or at best a tourist piece.
