VERY Weird looking nickels

    I have attached some pictures of nickels I have found while going thru change. Not sure if someone had done those to these nickels, machine errors or legitimate errors. Again thanks for your input. I have been finding lots of strange looking coins! The 1st 2 pictures are 1 nickel. The 2nd 2 pictures are the 2nd nickel and the 5th picture is a 1977 nickel only showing the back because I could only upload 5 pictures at a time. Thanks!

    ok thanks, I am learning so I really appreciate your input. I do have the red book but sometimes I like to get those who are have more expert to give their opinions. :)

    Welcome to the forum! These are very beat up, post mint damaged nickels....

    That has been in a Dryer for a while to grind down the obv so bad.the round marks on Monticello show that.

    looks like road burn on the first,the last looks like it was used as a shim under a screw in a machine shop or similar.

    Have you heard the term "this car will stop on a Dime"? Well, in the case of the first coin, the car stopped on a Nickel!
