This is a Civil War Token (Store Card). I acquired several years ago and have always wondered if the reverse side was intentionally a blank planchet, planed/shaved off, or ???

The obverse is for a NY Butcher. NY630BI-2a
I hope the experts can chime and provide insight

Thank you ahead of time for your responses.

Some collectors pay big premiums for CWT's that are blank on the revere. I am not one of them.

If you could get it certified as a black reverse piece, it's worth some money although the hole is a big negative.

Shame about that hole. Not sure if it's blank or ground down. It looks blank from the photos as some of them were.
