It's so nice to try a new firm and find a great resource. I wait and wait and wait for some houses just to get my coins on the road, Led alone the scary wait afterwards Had a wonderful interaction with London Ancient Coins, Ltd. Ordered a handful of ancients from them at great prices and low shipping. Time to wait. Nope. They got me my purchases within 5 business days of order, from London to Salt Lake. That last piece really caught my attention! Any chance that may be a helmeted bust of Minerva? The face DOES look a little more feminine to me somehow.
Great call out with Minerva... though Roma is not masculine. Any ideas are appreciated in this piece.
Could you rephrase that for really quick please? I am have troubles understanding that sentence in its current state.
Your statement made it sound as though Minerva was more feminine than Roma. I had said I believe it to be Roma, and they are both ladies.
Oh, I see! I was meaning that since its marked as Mars on the info, you were referring to that! Sorry for the mixup!
They have some nice coins at reasonable prices... however $12 British pounds to ship one coin is a little rich for me. Best to buy a few coins I guess - like you did. Love the coins by the way!
Very nice additions @Ryro . It is always a good feeling when you get pa have and you know there are several coins in there. Your photos are all looking very good as well. Did you get a new camera?
Here are 2 new Vcoins' sellers I've tried and had good experiences lately : A seller from Belgium, willing to bargain, super fast shipping. -------------------------------------------- Mr. Roy Flora from Colorado, very nice guy, answered my questions and accepted my offer.
I've only used them once and had a bad experience with me ending up losing money so I haven't bought from them since, nice pickups though!
I bought a book from London Ancient Coins. It arrived very quickly and it was as described. They have a gazillion books, so I'll likely be buying from them again.
I have nothing but good things to say about London Ancient Coins, even though I've heard others complain that they're slow to respond to inquiries. Their prices tend to be very reasonable, although that's partly because they don't sell too much in the way of "high-end" coins. Which I don't buy anyway. Some may remember that I posted a list a couple of months ago of the dealers from whom I bought the most coins in 2020, and LAC was at the top of the list by far -- 17 coins, as I remember. And when I pay the extra $28 for shipping by DHL Express (which I do only when the price of one coin makes it worthwhile, or I'm buying multiple coins), the package has always (knock on wood) arrived within two or three days.
