Backordered Item dates

I checked my seven orders on the mint website this morning, and all seven of them now have the same expected ship date of 8/12/05. One of the sets has been ordered since 5/26/05. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this on their mint backorders. Before today, every order that I have placed with the mint had a different expected ship date depending on the date I placed the order. The mint website even changed the expected ship date on the Marine Corps Silver Proof Coin which I placed on 7/20/05 from 10/20/05 to 8/12/05. I hope this means they are going to ship things before October.

You will probably see that date increase by 1 day each day. 08/13/05, 08/14/05, etc.

 

I don't even pay any attention to the ship dates anymore. I just wait till I get the "shipping confirmation" email then I know their coming.

 

Yeah, I think the ship dates are pretty worthless. They set them far in the future to cover their butts and then when they ship them prior to the far-off date, they look like heroes.
