The pictures are too small and blurry to make out any unique variety. $30 seems about right for that date and condition.
I found this App. MintState.com The Coin Grader Application is being developed to allow you to determine the estimated grade of your coins.
@Larry Salemme ...Go to PCGS Photograde and compare Morgans and Peace dollars. Yours has a lot of wear, listed on price guides VG8=$40, F12=$45...so @eddiespin ...his VG10=$42.50. Unfortunately, the amount of wear is not the only grading criteria, as cleaned and damaged is going to reduce the value. $25 is about the best value you can place on it, and a LCS will take it off your hands for 10% less ( or more ). I just researched this date & mm for VAM, the obverse pic is out of focus so I can’t help you there. On the reverse I see 2 of 3 clash marks, with a Large Oval O mintmark, centered, no tilt. The amount of wear has probably obliterated any sign of doubling, if any were there to begin with. The apparent VAM is the 1879-O-VNA (VAM not assigned). This is the only one I could find that has no other attributes beyond clashing, normal date and Large O. Go to VAM World and check out the listings...jmho...Spark
