Has anyone else received this impressive auction catalogue? It was in the post this morning....Wonderful colour photos with good attributions and some great descriptive articles.....71 PAGES!
Strange thing is I've only ever bought one coin from them and that was early last year for less than a $100!....
I have bought plenty of coins from them over the last two years. I have not received an auction book from them but I do have a few bids on some of their coins in this auction ! If you ever decide to sell the book I would be interested in it !
That is very nice looking! I've bought a few coins from them two years or so ago. I enjoyed their service, no roadblocks at all. I didn't get a catalog lol Edit: A coin I got from them back then to keep the post ship-shape... I'm not on their mailing list (just as well, my wife *already* rolls her eyes every time Leu, Roma, or CNG show up at the doorstep) but nice catalog! I saw their lots on Biddr - pricey, but some really exceptional Iberian coins. Perhaps the one that stood out to me most was this, a lovely example of coinage from half-Romanized Iberia - a Roman denomination with a Roman design, inscribed in the native Iberian script https://www.biddr.com/auctions/ibercoin/browse?a=1530&l=1641275
Looks like a nice auction catalogue. I have hundreds of catalogue/ keep them in mint condition. Use my empty insect cabinets as mini libraries/ esp. fot research.
Agreed. The Flavians in particular are tooled to the point of looking cartoonish. The fact that Ibercoin describes this as tooling as "retouched" doesn't make it acceptable. Many of the other Roman bronzes either are, or appear to be, extensively tooled. I can't imagine a serious collector being interested in any of the Roman bronzes in this auction.
