Picked up a decent amount of 2009 proof silver dollars, and a few uncirculated.

I bought them at the intro price from the mint. I went into one coin shop and he offered to buy them for $48 a pop. I dont really have much interest in these... maybe keep one or two of each... and mostly looking at the bullion.

So the questions are... is that a good price? and what would others do?

    thanks.

The best time to sell these coins appears to have passed. I'd probably be happy with those eBay prices.

I'm getting $60 a piece for mine, and their paying for shipping. And as far as the peek is concerned...........Just look at this scientific data I spent weeks preparing for my personal use. Slightly modified.

If you're into scientifically collecting data you might also want to present your findings correctly. It's "peak" not "peek". You don't want your presentation to look amateurish, do you? Having said that, collecting data like that looks like something I would do :) Information is power, as they say.

I have seen the lincolns for 50 at local coin shops, I have not picked up one yet, I am trying to save for something a little bit more, and trying to resist the impulse buying trap.

    just an update,

I did sell all 15 today, 10 proof and 5 unc for $50 each to a local dealer. I feel it is a fair price, and as I am more into pure bullion, was a good move. the 2010 redbook I saw there had them listed at $45. lol.

So buying between $32? and up... and selling them at $50, I feel I did well.

also did sell a bit of 40% silver halves I had taking up space.

I know I could of fleabay them, but after comissions, paypal fees, shipping, would be a few bucks more, and would have to spend alot more time on it.
