I got this out of a mixed pound of world coins I bought. It appears to me that it is my first doubled die. Am I correct? The coin is actually a lot better then it looks, still retaining full mint luster and redness, but I can't take good coin pictures, so I scanned it. It makes it look not as good as it is, but you can still see what really appears to me to be doubling. How rare is this? I have another (nasty-looking) 64 Canadian cent that does not have the doubling. Thanks! Here are the pictures...
It seems like it is the images look raised an rounded but your pics need to be improved in order to really determine this it seems it has very significant seperation it could be machine doubling as well please post better pics to make an accuarte assesment on your coin. JC
Depending on the doubling. If it is machine doubled very common. If its a doubled die it will have a premium. We need images to see what you have for sure that show the areas in question?
The more that I look at it the more I see double lettering in the word Canada and in the leafs, but we would need a better picture to see for sure.
I see lots of doubling. Try using a magnifying glass and focus your camera through it. You might get some closeups. Great find!
