Maximillian Silver Coin

    I have a silver wine taster with a coin soldered into the bottom. The date is 1618 and it says----- :AV:DVX:BVR;STIR:CARON:MAXIMILLIAN:ARC with his likeness.
    Reverse saysET:CARN::pRVSS:AD:CON:HET:TIROL with a coat of arms.
    Sure would appreciate anyadvice and info and price you might give me. Thanks so much for your help. Mike

    Because the coin has essentially been destroyed, in a numismatic sense, by making it an integral part of the cup, it's value would be largely based ob metal content alone. However, the "coolness factor" of such an object would add some value.

    Yes, those things are cool, and they often use fake coin anyway so the coin might not even be genuine...
