Isn't it incredible that some of this is still out there. I had a teller hand me a 53 about two months ago with 2 of the corners missing but I didn't care. Was just happy to get a red seal from circ. Also got a 1934a $20 from a teller one time. It was beat up but it totally made my day.

I'm gonna try to acetone the ink 6 off of it in the next few days. Pics will follow.

Ditto... Recently, I got a '63 $2 with a corner missing and felt the same way! :high5:

 

So far I have tried rubbing alcohol on it, no change. Tried nail polish remover on it, no change. I put the solvents on a q-tip and rolled it over the surface of the 6. Does the note have to soak it the solution?

 

if you are heck bent on ruining the note.. i will send you a nicer looking 1976 in exchange

 

Not ruining, practicing for my paper money PHD and using this one because of the red ink. Its like a cadaver. probably couldn't take 10 more folds before it ripped. I'll let you know how it goes. to be continued.......
