@Roman Collector, I realize now that your coin actually does read SAECVLARHS AUG on the reverse. Did you know that this variety or error has its own RSC number, namely RSC IV 925b?

Also, I notice that in fact this stag reverse seems to be part of a series of two: there's also a Gallienus SAECVLARES AVG coin with an antelope or gazelle left on the reverse: RSC IV 925 and 925(a), RIC S273.

g.JPG I also have an example, not as beautiful as some posted here but nevertheless a good coin.
    I identified it as

    Obverse legend: GALLIENVS AVG.
Obverse description: Radiated and cuirassed bust of Gallienus on the right draped over the left shoulder, seen from three quarters forward

Reverse legend: LEG IIII FL VI P VI F.
Reverse description: Lion leaping to the right.
Reverse translation: “Legio quarta Flavia sextum pia, sextum fidelis”, (Fourth legion Flavia pious and faithful for the sixth time).
RIC V-1, Milan 343 (Joint Reign).
    (my photos are a disaster)

That red background looks great with that bull coin! Great pic!

I've only got a few zoos, nothing rare or unusual.

    Panther:

    Deer

    Gallienus RIC 177 (2020_11_18 03_38_31 UTC).JPG

Hippocamp. I showed this to my girlfriend and she had it tiled 90* to the right and swore it was a monkey with a curled tail.

I don't have anything useful to add to this thread. There are some great coins here. The Legionary coins have always eluded me.

The SAECLARHS spelling variation actually seems to be more common that SAECVLARES.
