srtuck some gold tonight

    struck some gold tonight

    well i finally picked up my fist gold certificate. its a small sized one for now. next is to pick up some large sized notes. this one is extra special because it is a STAR:bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes: lemme know what grade you think this note is(i paid less than what it books for in Fair condition). enjoy:thumb:

    I give it an XF from the pics. Like how the upper A gows into the design a little. Congrats on the gold! BTW where are you finding these at such a good deal?

    Seriously, very nice note, I love that it is a star! WAY TO GO! And it is still pretty sharp.

    I was bidding like mad on that star note! Congrats! What a steal! I would have been willing to pay $100 more than you did, but alas, I ran out of time.

    As for grade, I would say EF-40.

    i decided within the last 10 minutes that i was going to go for it. i had been watching it for a few days. i am happy with the price i got it at. you dont see many gold certificates star notes in any grade out there.:D

    I too had been watching it for days, I thought I could snipe it, but I guess you had the same idea and beat me by $5 dollars. Anyways, Congrats on the great note!

    well i think i still had some more head room on the price i was willing to spend on the note:rolleyes:

    It's for the best anyways. I'm just a lowly college student and really don't have the money for more gold certificates.

    lol its ok i am a lowly old bank teller that spends way to much on notes. but i think of it as an investment. in 15-20 years when these notes dry up they will be worth big $$$$:thumb:
