There is also some unevenness by his forehead and above and below Liberty. Could be nothing, but the other Utah quarter looks much better minted. 00FE6FED-AFE2-4301-9AF9-21FA76A76E7A.jpeg

    Interesting could the reverse anomalies be strike throughs? by looking at normal examples those details aren't supposed to be on the coin but as always I could be wrong.

    It would be best if you took the photos from directly overhead. There are so many things that could have affected a coin while in circulation, and I don't want to jump to an early assumption.

    Looks like struck thru grease on both sides;
    very common for State And Park Quarters -

    This piece also seems to have it's surfaces played
    with - can't tell from the off-color photos, but the
    surfaces, after the probably 'struck thru's', are
    not natural, imo.

    .....thereby rendering the coin close to useless to
    compare strike thru's with other coins.

    I can see the struck thru areas better, thanks.

    Not that dramatic, and as mentioned, common.

    Hi Kevin and Welcome to CT! Sorry but I don't see anything abnormal about your coin. Maybe you should have traded for the two dimes and a nickel! Could have gotten a silver dime! LOL

    I did find one and a 1896 5 cent coin! I gave them to my daughter, she FaceTimed me counting out the dates of wheat backs she found in my closet. She seems to have become obsessed with them today. I gave her and her sister a roll of wheaties so they can start their own collections.
