Just wondering if any of you had issues with I&L Goldberg auctioneers because for the last 2 weeks i've been asking them to use my bank details for my purchase and i'm being told that today , tomorrow and so on by their CEO and nothing happens so i honestly don't know what to believe anymore!

I've never done Buisness with them but Ira & Larry Goldberg are well known dealers and I've always thought, respected. Hope it works out for you.

I bought 1 coin from them and had no problems, but this was about 5 years ago.

I've had two successful auction transactions with them but they were handled via US accounts, international transactions are likely to be different.

They are very well-respected, I am sure that you will be properly taken care of.

    Don't sweat it.

I have done business with them for past ten years/ always nice to deal with. I always send them a bank draft made out to US$. They in turn send my coins promptly. Also, they never hassle you to auction purchases, they give you a 4 week window to make payment. Highly recommend them:)

Contacted Ira Goldberg and received instant support from him, but still won't change my opinion on their CEO!

I have bought a few things from their auctions over the years without any problem at all - usually paid by a bank transfer from the UK. Any queries have usually been dealt with by phone/email very efficiently.

Ultimately it all works out with them. They had a delayed delivery for a coin I won last June, but that was because the coin was in transition to be graded and then they reneged on that - understandably so given this virus problem....

I've had a number of transactions with them as buyer and seller. Never a problem.

Coincidently, I am in the middle of a "wait" with them right now. I had my first success with one of their auctions on 14 Jan. I hadn't received an invoice nor seen it posted on their website so on 25 Jan I called and talked to the Director Collectables. He was very personable and responsive. He sent me the invoice and I mailed a check on 26 Jan. So far I have seen nothing of it being cashed. I never know how much time to allow before I follow up again. My dealings domestically (U.S.) with dealers/auction houses has never taken this long (overseas a different story). Coincidently to this coincidently, I am still waiting on details of a win from CNG from 19 Jan. I don't wait well.

It has been about 10 years, I did a rather decent several lot purchase from one of their signature auctions and it was all smooth sailing.

But I've had issues with payments getting to auctions and getting the auction wins in the post lately - no matter who the auction house is.

I personally have stopped dealing with ANY off shore dealers. They always seem to use the same excuses as to why the check has not been cashed, why the order is not shipped etc. etc. etc. At least in the U.S. you have some recourse.
